Full Itinerary:

Day 1:

Settling in & getting to know everyone.

Situated between the rugged Peaks to the North and the gentle rolling hills of the Derbyshire Dales to the South , our luxurious Peak District accommodation is situated in the charming village of Peak Forest. We will meet at the accommodation, settle in, and get comfortable before our welcome dinner where we will get to know each other better.

An evening of some fun & games before an early night as we start before sunrise tomorrow.

Day 2:

Mam Tor (Sunrise Hike)
Visit to Chatsworth House Garden
Upper Derwent Valley Walk

We will wake up whilst the skies are still dark to hike up Mam Tor and watch the spectacular sunrise. Pack your coffee in a thermos and a mat to sit on as once we reach the summit, we will be able to see, sit and enjoy the beautiful views of Castleton village. The hike will take between 1-2 hours and whilst it’s a relatively steep climb, the summit of Mam Tor is only a 550-metre walk from the car park. We will take it slow and steady, and you’ll be just fine. It’s not a race, the views and experience are what will make this hike memorable.

As we left early, we will head back to the house to wake those that didn’t join us and have a lovely breakfast together before exploring the grounds of the cottage and enjoying the house.

In the afternoon we will head out to Chatsworth House Gardens, famous for its rich history, waterworks and sculptures, and its Victorian rock garden, there is something for everyone in the 105-acre Chatsworth Garden.

We finish the day by taking a much leisurely walk around Upper Derwent Valley from majestic reservoirs and quiet forests to wild open spaces.

Tired and hungry we head back to have dinner together. Awaiting us will be our private pizza van with halal stone baked pizzas cooked fresh in front of us and to perfection with a abundance of sides to compliment our meal.

Day 3:

Introduction to Canoeing - 2 hours canal ride & Alpacas experience

We start the day by helping ourselves or making breakfast from the supplies in our large country kitchen before preparing for a thorough introduction to canoeing. It doesn’t matter if you have never done this, we will receive a full briefing before heading out on a guided 2 hour canal ride down the Cromford Canal to soak in stunning beauty of Derbyshire.

If that wasn’t exciting enough we spend the afternoon walking and cuddling Alpacas!!

We will be able to feel some of their fleece, hand feed them treats and if you wish you can collect some alpaca poop to make some “fertiliser tea” once you return home to help you garden grow!

Feeling physically challenged from canoeing and mentally relaxed by the Alpacas we head home for a hearty homecooked meal and to relax and enjoy our surroundings. We finish the night with a bonfire and of course some marshmallow toasting and hot drinks.

Day 4:

Check-out

Breakfast; Goodbyes & check-out.
