Full Itinerary:

Day 1:

Settling in & getting to know everyone.

Bienvenida!!! Mexico is a land of extremes, with high mountains and deep canyons in the centre of the country, sweeping deserts in the north, and dense rain forests in the south and east. 

We will arrival at the International Airport of Mexico City and transfer to our hotel. Here we meet the rest of the group and enjoy our surroundings before our welcome dinner this evening.

 Accommodation: Galeria Plaza Reforma Hotel or similar. Meals included: Dinner

Day 2:

City Tour - Antropology Museum.

We will have breakfast and head straight out for a tour of the city, from its famous Alameda Central, the first urban park in America to its imposing Chapultepec Castle, El Zócalo capitalino, the second largest public square on the planet and the Cathedral. We will also visit and explore one of its best museums: The Museum of Anthropology is a important site that houses the archaeological and anthropological testimonies forged by multiple cultural groups during hundreds of years of history; At the same time, it pays tribute to the indigenous peoples of today’s Mexico.

Day 3:

Teotihuacán Pyramids, known as the City of the Gods.

We start the day with breakfast and then we depart for Teotihuacán Pyramids.

 Teotihuacán was the metropolis of a mysterious Mesoamerican civilization that reached its zenith around 100 AD. Once the largest city in the region but abandoned centuries before the arrival of the Aztecs. Teotihuacán boasts towering stone pyramids and temples with detailed statues and intricate murals. We spend the day here learning about this site and exploring the area.

Day 4:

Coyoacán / Xochimilco.

As always, we start the day with breakfast and head out to explore Coyoacan. Coyoacan is one of the most traditional neighbourhoods in the city, we will also visit UNAM, (National Autonomous University of Mexico), the University City is one of the great architectural jewels of the city and declared a World Heritage Site. 

In the afternoon we will tour Xochimilco in traditional boats called trajineras, which navigate the canals of this colorful and traditional place.

Day 5:

Mexico - Cancún.

Straight after breakfast we prepare to check out as we are heading to Cancun today. Cancún is a Mexican city on the Yucatán Peninsula bordering the Caribbean Sea, it is known for its beaches and is composed of 2 distinct areas: the more traditional downtown area, El Centro, and Zona Hotelera, a long, beachfront strip of high-rise hotels, shops and restaurants.

We transfer from our hotel in Mexico City and catch a internal flight to arrive at Cancún International airport. From here we transfer to our hotel to enjoy our resort and the surrounding area. Accommodation: Barcelo Maya Grand Resort hotel *Superior room* or similar

 Meals included: Buffet Breakfast

Day 6:

Chichen Itza.

We will have breakfast together then head out for a full day exploring Chichén Itzá. Chichén Itzá is an archaeological site declared one of the Seven New Wonders of the Modern World. Among its most important buildings are The Ball Court, The Observatory, The Temple of Los Jaguares and The Pyramid of Kukulcán. We will spend the whole day exploring Mayan ruins before heading back to our resort.

Day 7:

Tulum

The Mayan ruins of Tulum is the only archaeological site that is located on the coast of the Caribbean Sea and has one of the most spectacular views you can find. It is only 90 minutes from Cancun and are relatively small ruins that testify to Mayan knowledge. 

The greatest attraction at the Tulum Ruins is its location. Built on a bluff facing the rising sun, this ruin site is the only Maya settlement located on the beaches of the Caribbean. The views continue to be described as spectacular as millions of people visit this Maya ruin in the Riviera Maya As this is on the beach we will spend some time relaxing by the sea and soaking in some sun.

Day 8:

Puerto Aventuras / Cancun

Adios!

Today we all say our goodbyes and leave. Breakfast, Lunch and dinner is at your leisure depending on what time your return flight is. A  transfer to Cancun international airport. This is not the end, just goodbye for now to the new friends you made.
