Arrival at Prishtina airport. Mirë se erdhe! Kosovo is a land of remote, rugged mountains, home to ferociously independent people and stunningly untouched beauty. The Rugova Valley in the west, ringed by the spectacular peaks of the Accursed Mountains, stretches all the way to the Montenegrin border. We will be visiting cities and mountain regions.

You will be met at the airport by The MWTG lead and be taken by transfer straight to your hotel. You will check in and get comfortable before heading out to a welcome dinner together. It will also be a great time to get to know the whole group and get a taste of the local cuisine.

Our hotel is a 5 minute walk from ‘Sheshi’ (centre) of Prishtina.

Day 2:

Pristina

We will wake up to a traditional breakfast at the hotel before setting of for around 9am for a full day in the countries capital. We will do as much as possible on foot. Ethnological Museum where we explore the rich tapestry of Kosovo’s heritage. This immersive experience takes us through centuries of local culture, from traditional dress and customs to ancient artifacts, giving us a profound glimpse into the lives of Kosovo’s people. After diving into history, we’ll switch gears and step into a lively dance class where you can let loose, shake off any tension, and truly feel the rhythm of the region. Get ready to leave both culturally enriched and physically recharged with Love & Dance Pristina!

Next stop is The Fathi Masjid (Xhamia e Mbretit) also known as The Imperial Masjid, it is an Ottoman Masjid located in central Pristina. It was built in 1461 by Sultan Mehmet II Fathi. The masjid was declared a Monument of Culture of Exceptional Importance in 1990 by the Republic of Serbia.

We will lunch at a traditional restaurant called Bagolina before covering the following sites by foot.

  • Mother Theresa Cathedral
  • Mother Theresa Square
  • Newborn Monument

We will then head back to our hotel for some free time and plenty of suggestions for you to explore locally for dinner.

Day 3:

Prizen

We will wake up to a traditional breakfast at the hotel before setting of for around 9am for a full day in the city of Prizen. Our private transfer will take us to Picturesque Prizen, with its charming masjid- and church-filled old town that shines with an enthusiasm that’s infectious.

It’s Kosovo’s second largest city. We will be visiting the Prizen Fortress, Sinan Pasha Masjd, Prizen’s old stone bridge, Emin Pasha Masjid. We will spend time exploring the Shadervani area, near the Shadervan or “fountain of many streams, see the last surviving minaret of the Arasta Masjid and explore all that Prizen has to offer.

We also have a booking at a Filigran  workshop where you’ll get hands-on experience with this intricate art form. Guided by local artisans, you’ll learn the delicate techniques behind crafting fine silver jewellery, a centuries-old tradition unique to Kosovo. It’s a chance to create something beautiful while connecting with the heart of Prizren’s artistic heritage.”

In the evening we have another workshop arranged but this one is to delight your tastebuds as we experience Krusha and go for dinner.
